The Cruising Association was established in 1908 and is now one of Britain’s foremost organisation for cruising sailors, it boasts more than 6000 members across the globe, they provide services, information, help and advice to sailors worldwide.
The headquarters of the CA are in Limehouse Basin in London which includes a maritime library and Club facilities. There is a comprehensive website www.theca.org.uk which provides up to date information and advice to Members.
The Cruising Sections are special interest groups within the Association and correspond to popular cruising areas around the World and offer support and guidance about these areas:
- Baltic
- Biscay
- Blue Water
- Celtic
In addition there are 11 UK sections that are primarily social groups that organise lectures and social events locally and may include rallies and sailing events during the Summer.
